Rare MAM4d Special Signed Cheshire VC, Bateson, R A Chisholm Battle of Britain. 25 Nov 1975 Hatfield Commemorating the 35th Anniversary of the maiden flight of the protype Mosquito. Flown in Mosquito Crew Mr A C Cooper, Mr H Robbins. Personally Signed by Crew Mr A C Cooper, Mr H Robbins also Signed by Gp Capt G L Cheshire VC, DSO and 2 Bars, DFC Victoria Cross Holder. Air Vice R N Bob Bateson CB, DSO and Bar, DFC. In 1943 he was posted to No 613 Squadron, which had just re-equipped with the De Havilland Mosquito, as a Flight Commander. Within three months he was appointed CO of 613 and began to make something of a name for himself in No 2 Group, leading low level attacks against precision targets first as a squadron commander and later as a wing leader. These raids included an attack on the Gestapo HQ in The Hague on 11 Apr 1944 and the attack on 'Shell House' in Copenhagen in March 1945. Air Cmdre R A Chisholm CBE, DSO, DFC and Bar, AEA, ARCS, BSc. 604 Sqn He joined 604 Sqn, AuxAF in 1930 and was commissioned in March 193. He went on to the Reserve in January 1935 and in 1936 went to Persia to work in the oilfields there. At the Outbreak of War R A Chisholm was passed as fit for Flying at HA RAF Iraq left Teheran in January 1940 and on February 23 was posted to South Cerney for a Refresher course and conversion to twins. Rejoined 604 Sqn at Northolt in late June 1940 Battle of Britian fighter Pilot and WW11 Ace 9 in Beaufighter and Mosquito's aircraft. Died in 1994. Single Vendor autograph collection. Good condition. Personally Signed by Flugkapitan Gerhard Nitschke Heinkels Chief Test Pilot.. Cover depicts Gerhard Nitschke, Heinkel Aircraft and Heinkel logo. Was chief Test Pilot for Ernst Heinkel Flugzeugkerke 1935 to 1944 during which time he flew over 10,000 flights in various Heinkels. During the latter part of WW11 he worked with Wolfgang von Gronan in Tokyo and during 1944 to 1945 flew one of the 2 seaplanes operating from German Submarine Bases in Penang ( Malaya ) and Batavia ( Indonesia )also Signed by Karl Tettleback Kommodore of ZG26 before he was shot down in January 44. The ZG26 was a newly formed in summer 1943 to defend German Territory against the 4 Eng. A/C of the USA Airforce attacking targets in Germany during day time. In order to reach some results against the heavy and armoured 4 Engine US A/C the ZG26 was supplied with heavy weapons 21 cm rockets and 5 cm canons. before he was shot down in January 44. " Hart (born October 27. 1946) is an American mechanical and electrical engineer. a retired United States Air Force lieutenant colonel and pilot. and former NASA astronaut. Hart served as a mission specialist on the STS-41-C mission. where tasks included operation of the shuttle Remote Manipulator System (RMS) arm to deploy the Long Duration Exposure Facility (LDEF) and Solar Max satellite. STS-41-C (formerly STS-13) was NASA's eleventh Space Shuttle mission. and the fifth mission of Space Shuttle Challenger. The launch. which took place on April 6. 1984. marked the first direct ascent trajectory for a Space Shuttle mission. During the mission. Challenger's crew captured and repaired the malfunctioning Solar Maximum Mission ("Solar Max") satellite. and deployed the Long Duration Exposure Facility (LDEF) experimental apparatus. STS-41-C was extended one day due to problems capturing the Solar Max satellite. and the landing on April 13. 1984. took place at Edwards Air Force Base. instead of at Kennedy Space Center as had been planned.
