The author - Bianchi (d. 1568) about whom little is known, made a pilgrimage in 1527, inspired in turn by an earlier Italian traveler, Niccolo da Poggibonzi, who toured the Holy Land from 1345-1350.<br /></p> <p>&nbsp;Interesting depictions of Jerusalem can be found in this attractive, compact volume.<br /></p>
