Artist's info: German graphic artist, painter of landscapes and still lifes (1898 Langenhessen - 1974 Werdau), first apprenticeship as a painter, mostly self-taught, war service in World War I, after 1918 working as a decorative painter, from 1927 exhibitions in Zwickau, Berlin and Dresden, from 1936 freelance in Werdau, 1938 trip to Italy, 1943-46 war service in World War II and war captivity in Oldenburg. <p><b>Never Published: Two Chaburas on the Laws of Pesach in the Handwriting of Rabbi Chaim Shmulevitch, Rosh Yeshiva of Mir <br />*</b></p> <p><b><br /></b></p> <p>Four large pages of in-depth discussions on two sugiyos of Hilchos Pesach, in the handwriting of the Gaon Rabbi Chaim Shmulevitch, from Rav Chaim's famous chaburas! </p> <p><br /></p> <p>Rav Chaim's shiurim were and still are among the most popular shiurim studied in Yeshivas.</p> <p><br /></p> <p> </p> <p><b>To the best of our knowledge, these chiddushim have never been published!</b></p> <p><br /></p> <p> </p> <p><b>The Gaon Rabbi Chaim Shmulevitch </b>(1902-1979) was one of the greatest Roshei Yeshiva of the last generation, enlightening the Torah world with his shiurim and discourses. He dedicated his life to building the Torah world after the Holocaust and produced great Torah students and Roshei Yeshiva. He served as Rosh Yeshiva of Mir in Shanghai, and after the death of his father-in-law, Rabbi Eliezer Yehudah Finkel in 1965, he took his place as head of the yeshiva in Yerushalayim.</p> <p><br /></p> <p> </p> <p>The shiurim of Rabbi Shmulevitch became famous for their brilliance and clarity and people from all over the yeshiva world came to hear his shiurim.</p> <p><br /></p> <p> </p> <p><b>Rabbi Shmulevitch saw the delivery of his shiurim and chaburas as a cornerstone for the building of a student and invested in them body and soul, both in their content and in the manner in which he delivered them.</b></p> <p><br /></p> <p>Eretz Yisrael, without a year. [2] sheets, total [4] leaves in Rabbi Shmulevitch's handwriting.</p> <p><br /></p> <p> </p> <p><b>Size: </b>Approx. 21x 32.5 cm.</p> <p><br /></p> <p> </p> <p><b>Condition:</b> Good. A few stains.
