Im originalen, vergoldeten Spitzbogenrahmen mit zwei Johanniterkreuzen Prince Frederick-Karl of Prussia (1825-1885), cavalry general, victor of the Battle of Düppeler Schanzen and commander of the Order of St. John, assists an infantryman wounded in battle alongside other Prussian officers. Friedrich-Karl, called "the red prince", wears the uniform of the Zieten Hussars, with the Order's cross on his neck. This painting is probably one of the works by Emil Hünten listed by Boetticher (see p. 596
