Attributed to Emil Hünten, After the Battle of the Düppeler Schanzen on 18th April 1864

Im originalen, vergoldeten Spitzbogenrahmen mit zwei Johanniterkreuzen Prince Frederick-Karl of Prussia (1825-1885), cavalry general, victor of the Battle of Düppeler Schanzen and commander of the Order of St. John, assists an infantryman wounded in battle alongside other Prussian officers. Friedrich-Karl, called "the red prince", wears the uniform of the Zieten Hussars, with the Order's cross on his neck.
