ca. 1850-1860; marked under horn "6" (60 lbs) and on the side with an eagle in a circle without an anchor. This is the earliest mark of the Fisher Anvil Company. The mark was made by impressing a U.S. Army circular cartridge box belt plate issued in 1839 into the sand mold. This mark was used until 1860 when Fisher changed it to an eagle with an anchor. 8"h, 3 1/4"w, 15 1/2"l; Condition: good
